I can think of no other bicycle component that so rigidly divides the cycling community. You are either a kickstand person or not. But we here at Bantam Bicycle Works try our best to remain neutral. We won't judge you, either way you want to go. We often put kickstand plates on our frames. Often we don't. It's up to you. It is your frame. It's custom made. You get what you want.
