helping out homer

I recently started in on a major repair on a Rivendell A. Homer Hilsen frame. Bike (and rider, he's fine somehow) got into a major collision with one of those new fangled automobile thingies. The bike didn't fair too well. The rider brought the frame and fork in to me for repairs.

The TT was bent. The DT was severely buckled. Even the HT was deformed by the impact. (Not to mention the fork...).

So, the plan: New front end. New fork. Reuse the old lugs. Add S&S couplers and canti bosses. Get it repainted.

About a day and half into it, the frame is nearly done. Still a fork to make and a little clean-up work. Should be ready for the painter's in a week or so. Lots more photos and descriptions here.
