I rent out this shop space. It's in Portland, the one in Oregon. It's a pretty big shop. around 2500sf. That's a lot more space than I need for myself. Which means that I sublet out parts of it to other fabricators.
Currently we have one person making guitars, another making wooden furniture, and three of us making custom bicycle frames.
But there is space for another maker/fabricator/builder to move into the shop. So I'm putting a call out there to you, my kindly blog readers. If you or anyone you know might be interested in renting out some shop space in beautiful sunny Portland, OR let me know. I'd love to hear from you.

A potential renter would get approximately +/-250sf of personal space, along with use of the shared machine tool area (we've got a nice lathe, drill press, air compressor, blasting cabinet, and a horizontal mill that we share, with room for additional tools), bathroom, slop sink, heat, hot water, three phase power, and bike parking area. (If you count in each person's share of the common areas, the total per person is more like 400sf). The shop is located in a relatively quiet area in the inner SE of Portland, just across the river from downtown.
Rent is $400 per month plus utilities (average $50/month).
We are definitely looking for someone who is excited about making stuff. It doesn't need to be bicycles, or guitars, or furniture. Anything will do. As long as you have a passion for it, like we are passionate about what we do.
